The major town of Surat Thani is just under 700km south of Bangkok and is well serviced by planes, trains and buses.

Wat Suan Mokkh is off Highway 41, just outside the small town of Chaiya, which is about 50km north of Surat Thani.

The International Hermitage is 2km from Wat Suan Mokkh - cross the main road, head north by 100 metres, then turn right and go to the end of the road.
