You will be practicing a form of meditation referred to as anapanasati, or 'mindfulness with breathing'. This will be practiced sitting, walking and lying down. All activities can be a form of meditation, including eating.
Loving kindness mediation is also practiced at the retreat.
Full instructions on how to meditate will be given during the course of the retreat. Though the instructions can get very deep and complex, the basic instrutions are very simple. There are a few possible or likely experiences as a result of meditation. There are usually some difficulties associated with meditation.
