Surat Thani

Surat Thai has two bus stations - one is 8km out of the city for the long-haul buses, and one in the city centre for local buses.

Any buses heading north along Highway 41 will be able to stop at Wat Suan Mokkh if you ask them to.

The fare might vary depending which bus you take, but a reasonable price would be less than 60 baht.

Songthaews leave Surat Thani city centre for Chaiya regularly, passing through Phunpin on the way.

Songthaews are signed in Thai, but any tour agent should be able to tell you where to stand to flag one down.

The journey by songthaew is just over an hour and costs about 50 baht.
