Adjusting Sleeping Patterns |
You will be woken by the bell at 4am each day during the retreat. Failing that, you will be woken by one of the friends banging on your door at 4:15am. If you normally wake at 10am each day, this could be a difficult change. If you normally wake at 8am, it may be an easier change. It can be beneficial to progressively wake up a little earlier than usual each day before you enter the retreat. Having a series of late nights immediately before the retreat will possibly result in a pressing sleep deficit and extreme tiredness early in the retreat.
