In becoming more aware of yourself in the silence of the retreat, it's possible that you could experience strong, new or unusual feelings.


The fundamental defilements of anger, greed and delusion are always at the root of difficult feelings.


As examples, snoring and people inconsiderately breaking the silence can both help anger to manifest.


Very pleasant feelings can also arise as a result of meditating.


In all cases, you should continue with your meditation practice, accepting these things for what they are and allowing them to run their course.
